Fans waited a long time to see Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman face off in a one on one match, and Sunday night The Monster Among Men challenged The Beast Incarnate for the WWE Universal Championship at No Mercy. Depending who you talk to, the match either did, or didn’t live up to the hype.
F4Wonline.com is reporting that when WWE planned the match several months ago, the plan was for Lesnar to retain with the match being just another stop on Lesnar’s road to WrestleMania, and WWE stuck to the original plans.
Current plans still call for Roman Reigns to go on to WrestleMania and face Brock Lesnar as he tries to establish himself as the top star in WWE. Roman’s victory over John Cena was another part of his buildup as he prepares to go after The Beast.
Sunday night Sheamus and Cesaro challenged Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins for the Raw Tag Team Titles, but the former Shield brothers managed to successfully defend the belts. The match was pretty crazy, and Cesaro lost his two front teeth while trying to win gold for his team.
Sheamus and Cesaro get along pretty well nowadays, but last year they were trying their best to destroy each other in their best of seven series which was put together by Raw General Manager Mick Foley. After the series ended in a draw, Foley but both stars together in a tag team, and now they seem to be pretty happy that Foley paired them up.
The former Raw General Manager took to Twitter on Sunday night to praise the Raw Tag Team Title match.
An INCREDIBLE tag match at #NoMercy. I’m here for you @WWECesaro – front teeth are over-rated anyway!

Sheamus also acknowledged that it’s been one year since Mick Foley put them together, and he thanked the WWE Hall of Famer for putting his faith in them.
Yes, you were right about me and @WWESheamus and you’re right about that
