royal rumble

The WWE Women’s Revolution has been a big deal for quite a while as they continue to bring some of the best pro wrestling matches in women’s wrestling and innovate the concept of what women’s wrestling is in the process. Stephanie McMahon dropped a huge piece of information when she announced the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble match was on the way and the true gravity of the situation might not even be felt yet.

After all, the WWE Universe has yet to see a Road To WrestleMania with a female in line to challenge for the top title after winning a Royal Rumble match. Therefore, as WWE explores this new concept there could be some big surprises on the way.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that those women who are participating in the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble match are under the impression Ronda Rousey will also be in the match.

This could be a pretty big deal, especially if Rousey is booked to win the match. After all, one of the matches WWE has been considering involves Rowdy Ronda facing either Charlotte Flair or Stephanie McMahon at the Show Of Shows.

But another idea for Rousey and WrestleMania still might involve an encounter of WWE 4 Horsewomen vs MMA’s version. After all, Ronda Rousey has been training with Brian Kendrick and taking bumps for a while and with Shayna Baszler currently in NXT while Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir train elsewhere, this match seems likely as well.

There is also talk of bringing in some big names from WWE’s past to participate in the Women’s Royal Rumble as well. It took a long time to get to a point where a Women’s Royal Rumble match is a reality and it would only be right for some females from WWE’s past who helped blaze the the trail to be involved in the match as well.
