Between Raw, SmackDown and NXT you never know who WWE might end up pushing to the top of the card, and it’s been obvious for years now that Lars Sullivan is in line for a big push.
Lars Sullivan returned to WWE programming back in October when he was drafted to the Friday Night SmackDown brand, but he hasn’t appeared on the show since the November 6 episode.
It was noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that since Roman Reigns is the top star on SmackDown, and a heel, WWE doesn’t want another top heel that they don’t want to beat on the same brand.
WWE’s plan is to protect Lars Sullivan, which makes it hard to have two top heels on the same brand.
It was also noted that Lars Sullivan was not part of the group of big wrestlers who got sent to the Performance Center for training.
