Roman Reigns is the longest reigning Universal Champion of all time, and Brock Lesnar recently became the WWE Champion at Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia earlier this month. Reigns and Lesnar are set to face off in the main event of WrestleMana 38, and both titles will be on the line.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that plans call for the titles to be unified at WrestleMania, and it will be similar to when WWE unified the titles in the past. It was noted that WWE still wants a champion for each brand as it’s not feasible for each show to not have a champion with Raw and SmackDown being on separate networks.

It’s being said that the Title vs. Title main event at WrestleMania will be a unification match, and WWE won’t forget about the unification following the match, but there will be two champions.

Brock Lesnar is still currently set to defend his WWE Championship at Madison Square Garden this weekend, so it will be interesting to see where things go from here. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
