You never know when you might see a fresh face get called up to the WWE main roster, and in 2021 former NXT UK star Piper Niven got called up to Raw as Doudrop. The Doudrop name immediately got a reaction out of fans, but it seems that there’s a possibility she could be dropping it in the future.
Doudrop recently spoke with Inside The Ropes about her name, and she confirmed that she’s had talks with Triple H about possibly going in a different direction.
“I’ll give 100% full transparency about it, we [she and Triple H] did have a conversation about it… Because here’s the thing, before it was Vince’s vision and now it’s Triple H’s vision. So it’s like ‘What’s your vision and where do you see this going, are you open to ideas?’”
Doudrop went on to say that it took her a long time to get comfortable with the Doudrop character and she’s trying to get a better feel of who the character should be now that Triple H is in charge. She also indicated that Triple H has been very receptive so far.
“Yes. He was receptive to all ideas. I’m very much aware that there is probably like lots of other people that are looking for changes and such, but I’m willing to be patient and make sure that we’re being deliberate and making sure we know the direction [of the character] and where we want to go.”
