Over the last few years there have been a number of surprising WWE departures, and it was revealed back in 2021 that Tyler Breeze had been released from WWE. During an interview last year Tyler Breeze clarified that after he was released in 2021, the company immediately hired him back in a non-wrestling role.
“Basically what had happened was WWE released me in 2021 and then immediately hired me back to do other stuff because I had kind of a lot of irons in the fire and I had a lot of other things that I was a part of. So, they hired me back. I guess, to get me in the video game, they had to classify me as a legend because I wasn’t on the active roster.”
Breeze had been part of the UpUpDownDown YouTube channel, and he also noted that he had worked as a writer in NXT. However, it seems that Tyler Breeze is officially done with WWE as he noted today on social media that he’s no longer under contract when he posted the following:

When a fan asked if he would like to join AEW, Tyler Breeze posted a response which said, “Would love to be a part of AEW”

Breeze also recently indicated that he’s taking bookings as he posted his open dates on social media.
