As noted WWE parted ways with Monday Night Raw announcer Adnan Virk earlier today, and PWInsider is reporting that another round of firings is currently underway.

It’s being reported that the digital department (which would include the WWE Network) has been hit extremely hard today. Jaylar Donlan, WWE’s Executive Vice President, Advanced Media Group is reportedly one of the names who parted ways with the company today. He had been with WWE for 8 years. Brian Pellegatto, who was with the company for 9 years, and held the title of Senior Vice President, Production is also gone.

There are said to be a lot of others who were let go today, and that multiple WWE staff members who survived the cuts were shocked at some of the names who were let go.

It’s also being reported that a number of divisions will be folder together, and overseen directly by Executive Vice President, Television Production Kevin Dunn.

The company apparently determined that there were too many redundancies across multiple departments on the production and digital sides. One example was the company having two separate graphics departments between TV and digital, which can be merged into one division with a smaller staff.

The departures are also said to be a ripple effect of the how the company operated during the pandemic with far less across the board. A source noted that throughout the history of the company WWE has shown they can “cut to the bone” and still get things done.

There are said to be a lot of people who were shellshocked, some who were fired, and others who know that they will now have to take on more daily responsibilities.
