WWE has announced that the highly anticipated triple threat match for the WWE World Championship will open the show tonight at No Mercy. The match will feature AJ Styles defending his title against John Cena, and Dean Ambrose.
WWE has also announced that The Hype Bros. and American Alpha will be teaming up to take on The Ascension, and The Vaudevillains during the No Mercy kickoff show.
As noted, it was recently reported that SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch is out of action, and she won’t be performing tonight. PWInsider notes that Becky Lynch is dealing with some sort of undisclosed health issue that is preventing her from taking bumps.
According to the report, she is not physically injured, but WWE officials have decided that she can not take bumps right now. Lynch is backstage for No Mercy so it’s possible that she will be making an appearance on tonight’s show. WWE has not made any sort of announcement regarding the Women’s Title match and as of right now it’s still listed on the card.
