Professional wrestling movies are usually hit or miss. They range from serious and heartfelt films such as “The Wrestler” to comedic and lighthearted films like “Ready To Rumble.” Nowadays you don’t see too many professional wrestling films hitting the theater, but there’s a lot of hype behind “Fighting With My Family” as the film is set to focus on Paige’s family and Paige is a star who fans are very familiar with.
Florence Pugh will be playing Paige in the film, and this week after Raw she faced off against Thea Trinidad, who was playing AJ Lee, in the middle of the ring.
The two stars reenacted that magical moment when Paige won her first Divas Championship the night after WrestleMania 30 and Florence Pugh tried her best to nail the Paige look.
To Pugh’s credit, she did a pretty good job and some fans in the audience were able to capture a few photos of her in action. Although we’ll have to wait until the movie is released to judge for ourselves, one fan in attendance noted that Florence Pugh did a great job portraying Paige.
This week’s episode of SmackDown featured a battle royal to determine the new number one contender for Bray Wyatt’s WWE title. Unfortunately the match was ruled a draw after both AJ Styles and Luke Harper landed on the ground at the same time.
Raw General Manager Mick Foley criticized the finish by saying that he and Stephanie McMahon would have used an instant replay to determine the winner.
