Alexa Bliss has been Raw Women’s Champion ever since she defeated Sasha Banks on August 28th, the week after she lost the championship to The Boss at SummerSlam.
Over the past four months, Alexa hasn’t been the focal point of the Women’s Division, following a feud with Mickie James, it seems that Asuka has been the one gaining all of the attention before Absolution took over Monday Night Raw a month ago.
This has allowed Alexa to remain as Women’s Champion and not have to defend her title in more than two months since she defeated Mickie James at TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs.
Alexa has now held the Raw Women’s Championship for 112 days, with the current longest reigning record being held by Charlotte Flair at 114 days. This means that Alexa only has to hold on to her title through Raw tonight and she’s made history.
Charlotte also holds the record for the longest combined reigns with the championship, which currently stands at 246 days, Alexa’s combined reigns add up to 224 days which means that Alexa only has to remain champion for another three weeks and she will have made history for the second time.
Charlotte is usually the woman that the WWE Universe has become accustomed to when it comes to breaking records, but it’s nice to see another female being given the chance to put her name in the record books as well.
