Wrestling fans are well aware that Paige and Alberto Del Rio were in a serious relationship a few years ago, and at one point they were engaged to be married. Fans are also well aware that their relationship was toxic, and Paige recently came forward during an episode of GAW TV and claimed that Alberto physically abused her.
“In the beginning, you’re fighting back with this person. But in the end, it becomes a cycle. Eventually, something is happening to you every day. You could be trapped in a room for 6-7 hours, getting your ass beat every couple of minutes. And he’s doing all these crazy things to you,” Paige said.
Alberto Del Rio recently spoke to TMZ about the alleged abuse, and he claimed that Paige assaulted him.
“It was the other way around. I have the evidence. Not just words.”
He then went on to say that he’s considered taking legal action against Paige.
“I would say Raya, why? Why? Why are you doing this Raya? And, I’m not calling you Paige because you were never Paige to me, you were Raya. Why would you hurt me in a moment like this?”
As noted, Alberto was recently indicted and charged with two felonies of aggravated kidnapping and sexual assault.
Paige has yet to respond to his claims.
