WWE announced on Monday that former Divas Champion Paige has been suspended for 60 days. Her father noted on Facebook that Paige is dealing with a neck injury, and she was suspended for taking painkillers, which she had a prescription for.
Paige’s boyfriend Alberto Del Rio, who is now being referred to as Alberto El Presidente, recently spoke to ESPN about her suspension, and he repeated what Paige said via Twitter on Monday.
“It’s just like she said in her statement this afternoon. It’s just the same s—, different day my friend.”
The former WWE Superstar also commented on rumors that the company is trying to break the couple up, saying that he doesn’t care, and they are happy together.
“To be honest, I don’t care what they say or what they try to do. We are together and we are happy. I know a lot of people are not happy but regardless of whatever people say, we can be happy. We can be together. And we are going to stay together because we are happy.”
“If someone is not comfortable or happy about it, we just don’t care. We are going to continue our life. Our families are happy and we’re happy. That’s all that matters.”
