Al Snow recently did an in depth interview with The Hannibal TV where he talked about TNA, wrestling fans and much more. At one point during the interview Al was asked if he thinks TNA will be able to find a way to continue growing as a company. Snow said that he hopes so because the wrestling industry needs TNA to succeed.

Al then started talking about wrestling fans and he told the interviewer that wrestling fans are the goofiest bunch of people he’s ever met and he genuinely hates them. He then went on to explain why he feels that way and you can see what he had to say below.

“There’s a lot about wrestling fans these days I don’t understand. They are the goofiest bunch of people I’ve ever met, they really are. I genuinely hate them, I really do. I love the fact that they’re fans, but I hate them. Opinion is the lowest form of knowledge, there’s no ifs, ands or buts about it. You can form an opinion with little or no actual information and then you can go around spouting it off as if it’s a real fact, when it’s nothing more than theory, conjecture and assumption. Real knowledge is not information. It takes a matter of information and experience together that make real knowledge. You have a bunch of people ‘fans’ that now have access and are privy to information, but have no actual experience. Since they have the information they think they now have the knowledge and understanding of a business that they’ve never been in.”

  1. I respect his opinion and I agree with him…almost. I don’t have to be a chef to know what I’m tasting isn’t pleasant and I don’t have to know how to do a 450 splash to know that Hogan and Bish ruined any momentum TNA had building

    • It doesn’t help that “smart” fans online and at live shows ruin the experience for the casual fans by hijacking the shows either. The hardcore fans are the foundation of a company, yes, but the gaining of more casual fans furthers mainstream growth the most for a company.

    • It’s not that simple though. It’s a pretty subjective thing, some people like strawberry, some hate it, some like chocolate, some hate it, and so on.

  2. As always a person in the profession believes that those of us who have been educating ourselves about the product cannot comment on it. Actors and Directors in these blockbuster movies have been doing it too. Al has been a decent talent for years and can educate so many people in the business. However, he is a part of an entertainment based product.

I would understand if it was someone talking trash about Curry or Lebron and saying they’re trash…then it’ll be obvious they don’t know what they’re talking about. BUT in entertainment products our opinion matters…and when we see what we see we are going to feel what we feel.
