AJ Styles has been a Monday Night Raw Superstar for some time now, but recently he was announced for the Intercontinental Championship tournament on SmackDown.
This week on SmackDown AJ Styles faced off against Shinsuke Nakamura in the IC Title tournament, and it was announced that he has officially been traded to the blue brand.
After the match Styles did a backstage interview where he said he’s back in the house that AJ Styles built, and he’s on a mission to beat anyone who steps in the ring with him.
He said he’s got to redeem himself, and then he directed his attention toward The Undertaker when he said, “No one gets buried alive and comes back like AJ Styles and I hope The Undertaker hears every word I’m saying.”
AJ faced off against The Undertaker in the first ever Boneyard Match at WrestleMania 36.
Taker picked up the win when he buried Styles alive, but with Styles referencing The Undertaker often on WWE programming there’s speculation that WWE could be building toward a traditional match for the two stars.
