This week’s episode of SmackDown Live was the go-home show for the Royal Rumble, and AJ Styles called out John Cena which led to a heated confrontation between the two stars in the middle of the ring. Both men talked plenty of trash to one another, but the trash talk didn’t stop after SmackDown ended. AJ Styles later appeared on Talking Smack, and he said that John Cena wouldn’t last two seconds on the indie scene.

“He couldn’t have made it in the indies. Because he can’t hang with guys like me. I know everything there is about performing in a ring. You name every style, I can get out there and I can do it. John Cena, he can not. John Cena’s strong, that’s what he has going. He has a great mind for that ring, but there’s more to it than that, and John Cena wouldn’t last two seconds in an independent ring.”

That wasn’t all AJ Styles had to say about John Cena, he also went on to say that John Cena is scared that he won’t be able to beat him at the Royal Rumble. Styles brought up the fact that he knows he can beat John Cena, because he’s done it three times, but Cena doesn’t know if he can beat him.

We’ll find out who the better man is on Sunday when AJ Styles defends his WWE Championship against John Cena at the Royal Rumble.
If he started in the Indies from day one, agreed. But if he went now, he’d get booed, whatever, but he’d get butts in seats just for who he is. The wrong butts though. Bunch of moms with their little kids lol.
