When AJ Styles made the jump to WWE a few years ago he brought Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows with him, and recently they’ve been working together on WWE programming as The OC.
However, The OC has been split apart because WWE announced earlier this week that Gallows and Anderson have been released.
AJ Styles addressed their releases while streaming on his Mixer channel, and he said that he feels responsible in a weird way.
“If you guys didn’t know, Gallows and Anderson, guys who were like my brothers were released yesterday and that one hurt. That one hurt really bad. Really bad. Umm, the only way I know I can explain this is that these guys are my family and I couldn’t take care of my own brothers, you know what I’m saying? Like that’s what I feel about it. I’m the eldest. I’m supposed to take care of them and I didn’t do that and I feel responsible in some weird way for them being released. It’s devastating. I don’t know any other way to explain it.”
Styles went on to comment on all of the other releases, and he said that it’s weird. He added that even though this type of thing is to be expected during a time like this he’s still shocked at some of the names that got released.
