Everyone’s talking about the possibility of AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson coming to WWE. With the Royal Rumble coming up many fans are hoping to see the NJPW stars make an appearance at the big event.

It was recently reported by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the original plan for AJ Styles was to have him debut as a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble match. However it was also noted that the plans could be changed now that the news about Styles coming to WWE has become public.

On a related note, AJ Styles is still set for three 5 Star Wrestling events next week. Styles is set to face off against Rey Mysterio for the first time ever at the January 14th event. The company wrote the following on Facebook.

“There’s a lot of rumours and speculation as to the future of AJ Styles. As a life long wrestling fans we’d love nothing more than to see him win the Royal Rumble, finally making the best wrestler on the planet the WWE Champion.

I don’t know if he’s going there or not but I do know that on January 13th in Newcastle AJ Styles will face John Morrison to see who becomes the 5 Star Wrestling Champion. Then on the 14th of January in Sheffield, he goes on to face the greatest high flyer of all time, Rey Mysterio. Before finishing the tour in Liverpool, facing off against long time nemesis, Ring of Honor: World Champion Jay Lethal. Could this be his last set of matches on the indies?”
