The dream match became a reality at Money In The Bank. John Cena faced off against AJ Styles and AJ Styles was the man who got the victory.

AJ Styles was in control for most of the match and he seemed to be one step ahead of John Cena’s every move. Styles threw Cena off his game and he had a hard time getting the upper hand.

Cena tried to hit Styles with the AA from the top rope at one point but Styles knocked him off and then went to the outside of the ropes. Styles then went for the Phenomenal Forearm but Cena reversed it into the AA which Styles then reversed into the Calf Crusher. Styles had it locked in for a while which caused Cena to limp for the rest of the match.

Cena finally got Styles with the AA and then Styles kicked out which caused the crowd to erupt. Cena then went to the top rope to hit the leg drop but Styles reversed it into a powerbomb.

Styles then hit John Cena with the Pele Kick followed by the Styles Clash but Cena kicked out. Styles followed up with a 450 Splash but Cena got his knees up. Cena attempted to hit the AA again, then Styles tried for the Styles Clash, Cena reversed it into the AA, Styles got loose then went for the Pele Kick and Cena dodged it.

Eventually Cena got AJ Styles in the AA again and they were moving around when Styles’ foot inadvertently knocked out the ref. Cena hit the AA but there was no one to count it.

Gallows and Anderson made their way to the ring while the ref was knocked out and they hit Magic Killer on John Cena. Gallows and Anderson then placed Styles on Cena, then the referee woke up and counted three.

  1. i understand they need styles to go heel for the simple fact they dont have many good heels at the moment (besides rollins and owens) but styles should have got a clean win off the styles clash
