There’s no denying that 2024 has been a big year for professional wrestling contracts. AEW has signed several big names, but a number of AEW contracts have expired as well. Now it seems that another heavily featured AEW star’s deal is coming up.
Fightful Select is reporting that Daniel Garcia’s AEW contract is set to expire in the fall. However, one top AEW name reportedly said that they don’t believe Garcia will be leaving All Elite Wrestling, and they even think he’s re-signed with the company.
When those close to Daniel Garcia were asked directly about his contract status they said it’s likely his future will come into focus soon. Garcia is set to challenge Will Ospready for the AEW International Championship this week on Dynamite.
Daniel Garcia previously had a tryout with WWE back in January of 2021 and the word is that it went exceptionally well for him. WWE did not sign him at the time, but reportedly told him that they’d sign him sooner if anyone else was interested in him.
