All Elite Wrestling first launched in 2019 and the wrestling landscape has changed drastically since then. AEW has shown that they are open to working with other wrestling promotions by opening the forbidden door which was a breath of fresh air for some people in the industry.

There’s a new regime in charge of WWE which has shown that they are also open to working with other companies as we’ve seen recently with Total Nonstop Action’s Jordynne Grace appearing in the 2024 women’s Royal Rumble match.

Cody Rhodes is currently set to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 40, and The Rock recently referenced his brother Dustin Rhodes on WWE programming.

Unfortunately Dustin Rhodes is not able to be part of Cody’s storyline right now because he’s currently part of the AEW roster, but Mark Henry recently explained on Busted Open Radio why he thinks this is the time for WWE to work with AEW to bring Dustin Rhodes in.

“Well, we definitely needed to see it. And as far as there being an opportunity for a working relationship, which Triple H said a year and change ago, that they’re open for a working relationship with AEW.”

“It’s yet to be seen, but they were open for it. This is the time, if you ever were going to do it, try to get it done, you’ve got four weeks.”

Do you think WWE should form a working relationship with AEW? Sound off in the comments below.
