The wrestling world has changed drastically since Vince McMahon announced his retirement and in recent weeks fans have seen some interesting names return to WWE.
There’s a new regime in charge of WWE and it was recently reported that the company reached out to multiple talents who are currently under contract with AEW. This obviously didn’t go over well with AEW and a legal letter was sent to WWE regarding contract tampering after several AEW stars informed the company about what was happening.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the people who were approached about returning to WWE were generally people who had worked with Triple H in NXT.
It’s also being said that there was at least one person who requested to be released, but that request was not granted, and the person still has a long time left on their contract. The identity of the person who requested to be released was not disclosed.
