There are a number of wrestlers on the AEW roster who aren’t being used right now, and Ricky Starks has become a very hot topic over the last few months.
Fans have noticed that Ricky Starks has been removed from the roster on the company’s official website. This usually indicates that the talent has parted ways with All Elite Wrestling, but that has not been confirmed just yet.
It was reported last month that Ricky Starks had requested his release from AEW, but his release request was denied. Starks has not appeared on AEW programming since the March 30th, 2024 episode of Collision when he teamed up with Big Bill to face off against Top Flight.
Back in November of 2024, Ricky Starks was asked about his absence from AEW during an interview with Chris Van Vliet and he said, “Beats me. I could have 1,000 theories about what’s really going on. The fact of the matter is that if I don’t have a definitive answer, I can’t just make up an answer for people and just assume. Would I love to know the exact reason? For sure. Do I have speculations about why? Absolutely. But that does nothing to speak on things that I speculate, does nothing for the situation. So I think it’s just a matter of, it sucks, it’s been a very cold day here in Austin. It’s been a very cold day. May have been cold for the past nine months, not sure. But thankfully, I have a sweater, and I’m always ready to keep the warmth going.”
Recently it’s been confirmed that Malakai Black and Miro have both parted ways with All Elite Wrestling.
