Tonight the AEW Worlds End pay-per-view is set to air live and anticipation for the event is at an all time high. Keith Lee was originally set to battle Swerve Strickland tonight at Worlds End, but he got fans talking earlier today when he took to social media to say that he’s been working through an injury since AEW Grand Slam in 2022. Lee noted that the injury has been getting worse and he cast doubt on his status for Worlds End when he posted the following tweet:

“Today… I keep it very real with you guys.

I have been working through an injury since Arthur Ashe Stadium 2022. It has been mostly well taken care of.

Things have been worse since Final Battle. I am trying to get through today for you guys, but I cannot promise anything.”

Tony Khan later confirmed that Keith Lee has been pulled from Worlds End and Dustin Rhodes will be stepping up to face Swerve Strickland tonight. Khan posted the following statement on social media:

“Due to injury, AEW doctors can’t clear Keith Lee for his match tonight at Worlds End. His Naturally Limitless partner Dustin Rhodes has asked to step in to face Swerve TONIGHT”
