Unfortunately you never know when a WWE star could get released, and back in November WWE decided to part ways with Swerve Strickland, better known to WWE fans as Isaiah “Swerve” Scott.
Fightful Select is now reporting that Swerve Strickland has a lot of options when it comes to where he could go next. Fightful notes that every day since Swerve was released they’ve been hearing about promoters inquiring about his status and what he would want from a potential deal.
It was also noted that they’ve heard directly from higher ups in multiple companies that they’ve asked about bringing him in, and at least one major company already has plans in place for Swerve if he chooses to work with them.
It’s being reported that AEW asked about Swerve Strickland’s status extremely early to find out when he might be available, and NJPW USA has made a “very firm overture” to Swerve. MLW is also expected to make an effort to sign him if they haven’t already.
