Ever since All Elite Wrestling first launched in 2019 a number of big names have worked with the company, and now it seems that another former WWE Champion could be AEW bound.

The Takedown on SI is reporting that AEW has expressed real interest in working with Mick Foley this year, although the capacity is unknown at this time. It’s also unclear if AEW would be looking to sign Mick Foley to a contract, or if they are simply looking for him to make an appearance.

The AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view is set to air live from Flushing, New York later this month, which is only an hour from where Mick Foley grew up.

One source noted that although they don’t have any direct knowledge regarding Foley possibly getting involved with the event, they would not be surprised if there was a push to use Foley at Double or Nothing if a deal could get done in time. At this point in time the extent of conversations between Foley and AEW beyond an initial inquiry is unknown.

Mick Foley has been very open about severing ties with WWE and made it clear that he intends to let his Legends deal with the company expire in June. According to the report the Legends deal does not prevent talent from working with other companies, but there are some restrictions in regard to royalties, merchandising, likeness use, and other intellectual property-related matters.
