Back in 2019 AEW Dynamite kicked off on TNT, and on Wednesday night the show celebrated it’s two year anniversary. Ahead of the event Tony Khan confirmed that a big announcement would take place on the show, and at the top of the 9 o clock hour Tony Schiavone made his way to the ring to reveal the new TBS Championship.
Schiavone announced that Dynamite will be moving to TBS on January 5, 2022 and he also confirmed that the title will be exclusive to the women’s division. In regards to how the first champion will be crowned Schiavone announced that a tournament will be held.
The belt looks similar to the TNT Championship, and a photo can be seen below.
