After the TKO merger was completed back in September, WWE released a number of wrestlers and there were some surprising names on the list. Many fans were surprised to see that former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler was cut and now everyone is waiting to see where he’ll end up next.

Currently Dolph Ziggler is waiting out his non-compete clause, but he recently confirmed that he will be wrestling under his real name Nic Nemeth at the WWC event in Puerto Rico on January 20th. There’s been a lot of speculation regarding Nic Nemeth possibly joining AEW and it sounds like the company is interested in bringing him in.

WrestlePurists is reporting that many people in AEW are pushing for the company to sign Nic Nemeth. It’s being said that multiple creative pitches have been made for Nemeth, and one of the ideas pitched was for him to be one of CJ Perry’s clients.

The report notes that there’s been no word on negotiations taking place between Nic Nemeth and AEW as Nemeth is still waiting out his 90 day non-compete clause following his release from WWE, so no deal has been signed. As of right now the only word going around is that creative pitches have been made for Nic Nemeth in AEW.
