It’s been a while since fans have seen Sasha Banks in a WWE ring. The Boss hasn’t appeared on WWE programming since The Boss N’ Hug Connection dropped the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles to The IIconics at WrestleMania, and it was later reported that WWE gave Sasha time off following the Show of Shows.
It’s not clear when Sasha might be returning to WWE, but she has been keeping in touch with her friend Bayley.
Alex McCarthy of TalkSPORT noted that he spoke to Bayley and she said that Sasha Banks called her after her big SmackDown Women’s Title win at Money in the Bank.
“Just spoke to Bayley.
She said Sasha Banks was “so happy for her” when she won the title at MITB and called her that night. Bayley noted she also missed Banks’ first title win so it didn’t matter she wasn’t there, they still shared the moment later.”
Bayley also noted that she speaks to Sasha every day, and that she thinks the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles deserve more.
Bayley said she felt like the Women’s tag titles deserve more. “We thought Sasha and I would be given that chance and we weren’t. We then thought the IIconics would get that chance, they didn’t really.”
