When it comes to NXT stars getting called up to the main roster, some go on to big success while others get lost in the shuffle, and as we saw recently with Tyler Breeze some wrestlers end up going back to NXT altogether.
Fans have seen an influx on NXT stars on the main roster over the last few months, and it looks like two more names could be main roster bound.
Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that there’s talk of NXT Champion Adam Cole, an NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler joining the main roster.
As of right now there’s no word on when they might get called up, but it was noted that Baszler has everything they’re looking for.
It will be interesting to see if they’re called up soon, as Baszler retained her title at NXT TakeOver: XXV on Saturday night, and Adam Cole defeated Johnny Gargano to win the NXT Championship.
As we saw during the Superstar Shake-Up, the Viking Raiders were called up to the main roster and they later vacated the NXT Tag Team Titles when they said goodbye to the brand.
The Street Profits became the new NXT Tag Team Champions when they won a four way ladder match on Saturday night.
