This year’s WWE Hall of Fame class featured some big names, and it looks like the 2019 Hall of Fame class is already being discussed.
Ringside News reports that former WWE Tough Enough winner Matt Cappotelli is being considered for the 2019 Hall of Fame class. Cappotelli recently passed away after losing a battle with brain cancer, and the feeling is that adding Cappotelli to the 2019 class could help raise awareness for brain cancer.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider also recently noted on PWInsider Elite Audio that there have been discussions about honoring Matt with the Warrior Award.
“They did mention to me that there have been discussions in their circle how Cappotelli should be honored with The Warrior Award. I’m all for it. I think it’s a cool idea. I think it would be a positive way to remind everyone of a fighter he was. What a warrior he was and to raise some awareness to brain cancer.”
Johnson also noted on Twitter that Cappotelli is being laid to rest today.
Matt Cappotelli is being laid to rest today. Keep his loved ones in your thoughts.
