The Young Bucks and Cody Rhodes broke the mold when they decided to do things their way. Before the All In press conference, they showed a video package to help tell the story of how this monumental show came to be. It was said that Kevin Owens called Nick and Matt Jackson and told them that Cody Rhodes was leaving WWE and to take care of him the rest, as they say, is history.
Cody Rhodes came out after Benard The Business Bear and Jenn Decker kicked off the show. CM Punk’s appearance at the Pro Wrestling Tees store the day before All In was the only mention of Punk during the event but they did plug him a couple times.
Billy Corgan was introduced next where he said that the NWA Title will be defended at All In. Cody Rhodes added that he will be the one challenging for the title as well.
All In promises to be a great event but one running theme that continues to be a huge part of it is Flip Gordon still cannot get booked for the show. But he did make an appearance during the press conference. Gordon, while wearing a fake mustache and hat to hide his identity posed as a journalist from the Flat Earth Press asking Marty Scurll and Hangman Page if they were going to book Flip Gordon.
This prompted Scurll to invite Gordon up to the front of the room and unmask him. It wasn’t too long before Hangman Page was putting Gordon through a table.
But the capper of the entire press conference was when Nick and Matt Jackson took the stage to close everything out. They hyped the event and talked about how big of a deal All In will be before Nick Jackson tweeted out that Rey Mysterio will be at All In as well.
This is a huge announcement for All In and very well could help boost ticket sales a good deal when they go on sale. We’ll keep you posted on if/when they sell out.
