This year’s WWE Hall Of Fame might be the most stacked ever which matches nicely with WrestleMania 34 which is happening two days later because this year’s Show Of Show is a huge one.
There are plenty of reasons to watch the WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony including the red carpet to see what Corey Graves, Baron Corbin, and Michael PS Hayes will be wearing. After all, Baron Corbin got a strange shout out from Broken Matt Hardy for his wardrobe of choice last year.
But Paul Heyman’s speech before Goldberg’s induction into the WWE Hall Of Fame is certainly going to be amazing if Heyman’s reputation is any indication of things. One of the greatest orators in the history of pro wrestling, Heyman always has something to say. But the choice of Heyman was a confusing one for some fans. However, it turns out there is a very good reason why Heyman was picked to do the honors during this year’s ceremony.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes Paul Heyman was instrumental in much of Goldberg’s program with Brock Lesnar through WrestleMania 33. He produced Goldberg’s material and helped arrange the angles so there is a great respect between the two.
This working relationship might have remained hidden on WWE television because Goldberg defeated Paul Heyman’s client at Survivor Series and then went on to have a heated feud which resulted in his eventual defeat at WrestleMania 33. Therefore, it’s nice that the WWE Hall Of Fame exists so we can get a glimpse of the actual relationship between these two pro wrestling legends.
The WWE Hall Of Fame will be entertaining for a lot of reason. After all, Kid Rock is getting time to talk on an open microphone. But Paul Heyman’s speech as he inducts Goldberg into Vince McMahon’s handpicked legends club will be one worth watching for sure.
