The Impact Wrestling roster is always going through changes. Sometimes stars return, sometimes stars leave, but it looks like one former Impact Wrestling World Champion will be staying with the company.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Eddie Edwards has signed a new contract. The length of the contract is unknown at this point.
More top stars could be on their way out as well, as it’s being reported that Eli Drake’s deal with the company is set to expire on May 31st, and Alberto El Patron’s deal is set to expire in April.
The company hopes to sign both stars to new deals, but even though talks took place over the weekend, new contracts have not been signed.
It’s worth noting that it was recently reported Alberto was at WWE HQ last week filming footage for an upcoming project focused on Rey Mysterio.
While he was there the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion reportedly met with Vince McMahon.
Vince is said to be very high on the idea of Alberto returning to the company, so it will be interesting to see if the two sides work out a deal, or if Alberto will sign a new contract with Impact Wrestling.
