John Cena is currently trying to find his path to WrestleMania, and he recently earned the right to challenge for the WWE Championship in the six pack challenge match at the Fastlane pay-per-view on Sunday.
You can never say never in the world or professional wrestling, so there’s always a chance be could become a 17 time WWE World Champion on Sunday, but as of right now it looks like Cena is set to finish up with the SmackDown Live brand after Fastlane.
John Cena is not currently being advertised for SmackDown events following the Fastlane pay-per-view, but he is being advertised for Raw events.
As of right now it looks likely that Cena’s path to WrestleMania will come together on the red brand, and we’ll be watching it play out on Monday Night Raw as opposed to SmackDown Live.
It’s been rumored that John Cena could be facing The Undertaker this year at WrestleMania 34, and if that is indeed still the plan then we likely won’t be getting any indication that the match is going to happen until after Fastlane on Sunday.
It’s also worth noting that John Cena is not currently being advertised for tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live.
