Hulk Hogan’s name is synonymous with wrestling, but fans haven’t really seen him do anything wrestling related over the last few years. Hogan said in a recent interview that he’s ready to return to WWE when the time is right, however it’s unclear if there is talk between the two sides right now.
There has reportedly been talk between Hulk Hogan and New Japan Pro Wrestling, and at one one point Hogan’s camp was negotiating a deal for an appearance at Wrestle Kingdom 12 in January.
The deal would have seen Hogan appear at the event as an honorary member of The Bullet Club, but Sports Illustrated is reporting that Hulk Hogan wanted $750,000 for the appearance, and New Japan officials declined.
So, unfortunately it looks like Hogan and NJPW don’t exactly see eye to eye when it comes to money at the moment, but there’s no telling what the future might hold.
If The Young Bucks have their way, it will happen someday.
“I’d love to welcome Hulk in,” said Matt in an interview back in September. “He’s honestly my favorite wrestler of all time, so working with him in any capacity would be fun.”
“I’d love to have him walk us down the aisle at the Tokyo Dome while the three of us play air guitar,” added Nick. “That would be a dream come true.”
