For weeks now fans have been talking about the Universal Title match at the Royal Rumble. Last week on WWE Monday Night Raw, Kane and Braun Strowman faced off in the main event to determine who will challenge Brock Lesnar for the belt at the big event.
Strowman and Kane have been feuding for months, and they took out all their aggression on one another. The match however wasn’t much of a match, as it was more of a brawl, and eventually both men got counted out.
Last week’s episode of Raw ended with Braun Strowman putting Kane through a table, but this week the Universal Title situation was sorted out.
Brock Lesnar made his return to WWE Monday Night Raw this week, and General Manager Kurt Angle announced that he will be defending his title against Braun Strowman and Kane in a triple threat match at the Royal Rumble on January 28, 2018.
Lesnar sent a message to both of his challengers this week on Raw when he knocked Braun Strowman out of the ring with a clothesline, and hit Kane with the F5.
As of right now the only two matches confirmed for the Royal Rumble are the Universal Title match and the Royal Rumble match.
