Through all of the Paige controversy, fans have been pulling for her through every circumstance and always wanted the best for WWE’s Anti-Diva. There were airport fights, scandalous incidents, leaked private footage, and on top of all that, Paige was nursing a surgically repaired neck.
A lot of people wondered if Paige would ever come back to WWE given the fact she was galavanting around the world with Alberto El Patron while he often made a sport of antagonizing WWE. He especially had some pretty hardcore words for Triple H.
But she recently posted some pictures from the WWE Performance Center leading many to believe she’s on her way back. Now there is more news about Paige and it could mean a different brand once she reemerges on WWE television once again.
“They’ve already sent Asuka to Raw so I wouldn’t be surprised if Paige goes to SmackDown,” Bryan Alvarez said while discussing how Paige is now listed as a free agent on WWE’s website during Wrestling Observer Live. “Here’s what I know. She was down there obviously based on her Instagram and they were evaluating her neck and so the fact that there is a story here on WWE.com about her apparent imminent return, my guess is her neck checked out just fine and she’s going to be back before you know it.”
“And I guess maybe she is going to SmackDown if Asuka’s going to Raw. Or they just don’t remember where she was and it doesn’t matter since she wasn’t drafted in the Superstar Shake-Up. They have just announced she’s a free agent and they’ll figure out where she goes from here. So I guess Paige will be coming back sometime soon.”
Mike Sempervive and Alvarez went on to speculate how it might get awkward when she does come back to WWE television, especially backstage. After all, she might be on SmackDown Live with her co-star Xavier Woods.
But it’s a different time now and hopefully, they’ll be able to move past that awful violation of Paige’s private life.
They also wondered how awkward it could get if Alberto decided to travel with her. Because it looks like Paige is coming back and whether it’s on Raw or SmackDown Live, she’s sure to get people talking.
