It was reported a few days ago that GFW is hemorrhaging money and Anthem is looking to sell the company. Anthem has since denied the reports, and company officials have downplayed rumors of Global Force Wrestling’s demise.
GFW isn’t the only wrestling promotion that’s rumored to be having problems, as it was recently reported via the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that things aren’t looking good in regards to a 4th season for Lucha Underground.
According to the report, El Rey Network would like a 4th season of Lucha Underground, but no one has stepped up to fund the new episodes.
A fan asked GFW President Ed Nordholm if Anthem would be interested in buying the promotion, and Nordholm said that he’s looking forward to season 4, and he would be thrilled to have LU as a partner on the Global Wrestling Network.
Looking forward to Season 4 and would be thrilled to have @LuchaElRey as a partner in Global Wrestling Network

Ed Nordholm also used this chance to once again downplay rumors of GFW’s demise.
I’m sure rumours of the demise of @LuchaElRey are no more valid than those about @GFWWrestling

Natalya shocked the world when she won the SmackDown Live Women’s Championship a few months ago at SummerSlam, but the former champion could be getting her title back on Tuesday night.
The SmackDown Women’s Championship will be defended in a SummerSlam rematch on SmackDown Live this week, and Natalya is more than ready. The current champion took to Twitter to hype up the title match and taunt Naomi with the following message:
