It’s been a pretty crazy year for Global Force Wrestling, formerly known as Impact Wrestling, also formerly known as TNA. Quite a few stars such as The Hardys, Drew McIntyre, Magnus, Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis, Tyrus and more have decided to part ways with the company, and now another star has said goodbye to GFW.
PWInsider is reporting that former X-Division Champion Low Ki is no longer with Global Force Wrestling, and he departed over the course of this week’s TV tapings. According to the report, there are several stories making the rounds in regards to why he’s no longer with GFW, and one story claims that his departure was due to a financial dispute.
Another story which reportedly came from a source within Global Force Wrestling claims that he was unhappy with the creative direction for him going forward, as the original plan for him leading into Bound For Glory called for him to be part of the Ultimate X match, and he wanted to be in the GFW Title picture.
One key detail that is consistent with both stories is that Low Ki made the decision to leave GFW, and he was not let go. However, a source did state that the former X-Division Champion’s departure was “amicable.”
Low Ki returned to GFW earlier this year and won the X-Division Title in his first match back with the company. No word on what he plans to do next.
