Brock Lesnar’s WWE status has been a very hot topic as of late, as it’s rumored that The Beast Incarnate is interested in returning to UFC. Brock is set to defend his Universal Title against Samoa Joe, Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman in a fatal 4-way at SummerSlam, and Paul Heyman threw even more gas on the fire this week on Monday Night Raw when he announced that Lesnar will leave WWE if he loses the belt.
Brock Lesnar is signed on with WWE through WrestleMania 34, and there’s no chance of him opting out early, but that doesn’t mean he won’t be losing the belt at SummerSlam.
Sports Illustrated is reporting that Paul Heyman is pushing for Brock Lesnar to drop the Universal Title at the biggest party of the summer on August 20. According to the report, Heyman is pushing for Samoa Joe to win the belt and become Universal Champion at SummerSlam.
It was noted that if Brock Lesnar does drop the title, it would give him the time off he needs from WWE in order to train for a rumored fight against Jon Jones, who would have to make the move to heavyweight in order for the fight to happen.
