You just never know who’s going to show up when you attend a WWE or NXT live event. Seth Rollins recently ambushed WWE Champion Jinder Mahal at a SmackDown event, and Thursday night former TNA Tag Team Champion Gunner made his debut at the NXT event in St. Petersburg, FL.

According to fans in attendance, Gunner wrestled under his real name Chad Lail, and he was announced as being from Charlotte, North Carolina. He wrestled No Way Jose at the NXT live event and lost his first match with WWE’s developmental brand.

Chad Lail is a former TNA Tag Team Champion and former TNA Television Champion and he worked in TNA as Gunner between 2010 and 2015. It’s been rumored for months now that he would be showing up in NXT and he’s finally arrived.
It remains to be seen who he will end up feuding with, but during a recent interview he noted that he would like to work with Eric Young in NXT.
“I’ve always liked working with Eric Young. It’s weird because he was in TNA with me but we only wrestled probably two or three times but he’s so good and I’d love to do a feud with him.”
