The WWE roster is loaded with talent, and the company seems to be actively pursuing more potential stars each and every day. You just never know who might show up in WWE or NXT, and it was recently reported that Thea Trinidad has joined WWE’s developmental brand.
Trinidad is the real life girlfriend of 205 Live star Austin Aries, and she’s a former TNA Knockout. She’s sure to make an excellent addition to the NXT roster, and it looks like WWE officials have had their eyes on her for a while.
PWInsider is reporting that WWE has been interested in signing Thea Trinidad for months, and one of the things that led to her signing was when The Rock pushed for her to play AJ Lee in “Fighting With My Family.”
Following her involvement with the film there was talk that she might debut with Andrade “Cien” Almas at NXT TakeOver: Orlando back in April, but obviously her debut didn’t happen.
