Mauro Ranallo might not be in the WWE Universe anymore, but it doesn’t mean he’s not paying attention to the product. The fact of the matter is Mauro Ranallo will probably always remain a part of professional wrestling, no matter how removed he might be from WWE.
One fan recently tweeted at the former SmackDown Live play-by-play announcer about how desperate he is to see Ranallo return to the commentary team on Tuesday nights. He offered a very interesting bargaining chip too.
He said if Mauro Ranallo came back to SmackDown Live then he would give cheering for Roman Reigns a try. He must not be a fan of The Big Dog because he sounded pretty desperate. It’s no secret that Roman Reigns is one of the most divisive members of the WWE roster, and this only further illustrates that fact.
But Mauro’s reply was rather interesting. He put Roman Reigns over hardcore. In his response, Mauro Ranallo called Roman Reigns a class act and said he’s “one of the hardest workers in the biz.”

Roman Reigns might have his fair share of detractors but don’t get it twisted, Roman has worked his butt off to get where he is. After all, someone doesn’t get the main event match at WrestleMania to retire The Undertaker for no reason.
There were a few people who were devastated to see Braun Strowman dismantle Roman. Even though there were thousands who chanted “thank you Strowman” after Braun destroyed Reigns in sufficient fashion. But love him or hate him, Roman Reigns is The Big Dog and the WWE ring seems to be his yard now.
Mauro Ranallo is obviously a fan too, even though the thought of someone abandoning their hatred for Reigns if he would just come back to WWE caused him to chuckle. Mauro obviously still has plenty of respect for Roman and by default, more people probably should too.
