It was recently reported that WWE officials have been contacting former female stars about possibly returning to the company for a WrestleMania appearance. Kelly Kelly was recently backstage at Raw and she teased a possible return during her appearance on Raw Fallout.
It was a nice little tease, but now Kelly Kelly has confirmed her status for the big event. The former Divas Champion recently appeared on Sirius XM’s “Coversation with Mario Menounos” and she revealed that she will be at WrestleMania, although she doesn’t know if she’ll be wrestling (via Pro Wrestling Sheet).
“I don’t know if I’m gonna be wrestling, per se, but I will be at Mania.” Adding, “I will be at Mania, I will be at Hall of Fame and I’m gonna do some Axxess signings.”
She also noted that while she was backstage at Raw she was repeatedly asked about returning to the company, to which she told WWE officials, “I would come back for like a run, ya’know, a mini-run or something.”
The stars of WWE will be making their way back to Madison Square Garden for a big live event on Monday, March 13th, and the card is loaded with top names. John Cena will be challenging Bray Wyatt for the WWE Championship and Kevin Owens is currently being advertised to defend his Universal Title against Brock Lesnar.
Former SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi was also being advertised for an eight-person tag team match, but she’s off the card now due to her injury. The updated lineup now shows current NXT Women’s Champion Asuka in her place.
