AJ Styles faced off against Dean Ambrose Sunday at TLC, and the two SmackDown stars collided in a hard hitting Tables, Ladders and Chairs match. Following the match it was reported that AJ Styles had suffered a minor ankle injury, and now PWInsider is reporting that WWE pulled AJ Styles from Monday’s live event in Tyler, Texas as a precautionary measure.

The main event of the show featured a triple threat match between Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, and WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz. WWE World Champion AJ Styles is scheduled to defend his title against James Ellsworth on SmackDown, and right now there’s no word on whether or not AJ’s minor ankle injury will change plans for the match.
On Raw this week Cesaro and Sheamus faced off against Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson to determine the new number 1 contenders for the Raw Tag Team Titles, and the match ended with a disqualification. It was later decided that The New Day will defend their titles against both teams in a triple threat match next week.
When The New Day found out about the match they weren’t very happy, and you can see their reaction below.
