SmackDown Live stars American Alpha recently spoke to The Mirror about which tag teams influenced them and more. You can check out the full interview here along with some quotes below.

Jordan: “I absolutely loved the Steiner Brothers, that’s probably apparent watching Chad and I. They are definitely my favourite tag team of all time. I enjoyed watching The Rockers and then when i got older to go back and watch some of The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express. Also the Hart Foundation, to add another team to the list. To grow up as a fan and then to be able to have the opportunity to be a part of that now and also rejuvenate that, to put the tag team division on the map again, it’s been a pleasure, it’s an honour, and it’s a lot of fun.”

Gable: “There’s a lot. As far as looking up to, we both love the Steiner Brothers. I think those guys were so far ahead of their time in the late ’80s, early ’90s, they don’t get enough credit for that. They were just incredible. I would have loved to have wrestled them. Terry Gordy and ‘Dr Death’ Steve Williams – those guys were just brutal heavy hitters. I think we could have had some great matches with them. There’s a team like the Fantastics, who I have fallen in love with. I’ve recently just started watching a ton of their stuff. Tommy Rogers was incredible. We could have had some matches with them that would have tore the house down. But we’re at a point now, WWE with the tag team division, that it’s revitalised and we’re going to be able to see some of those rivalries like they had in the ’80s come back again. We want to be a part of that.”
