Seth Rollins challenged Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on Sunday and in the end Dean Ambrose walked away with the gold. Dean Ambrose won Money in the Bank earlier in the night and he cashed in his briefcase to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship for the first time after Seth Rollins defeated Roman Reigns. This is how it all went down.
During the beginning of the match Roman dominated but eventually Seth got the upper hand. Seth Rollins hit Roman Reigns with a superplex from the top rope then held on and transitioned into a Falcon Arrow but Roman kicked out. Seth waited for Roman to get up and he went for the Pedigree but Reigns blocked it.
They battled back and forth and eventually Seth hit Roman with the Turnbuckle Powerbomb but Roman immediately reacted by hitting Seth with the Superman Punch.
Rollins stepped out of the ring to recover and he lured Roman Reigns over to the barricade. Roman tried to spear Seth through the barricade but Seth stepped out of the way and Roman went crashing through. WWE officials then checked on Roman Reigns.
Rollins rolled Roman back into the ring and tried to hit the Pedigree but Roman shoved Rollins into the corner and knocked the referee out in the process. Roman hit the Spear for a two count.
Roman then went for the Spear again but Rollins reversed it into a Pedigree in midair. Rollins then hit Reigns with another Pedigree to win.
