It was reported earlier that Alberto Del Rio is currently out of action due to a lower back injury. Alberto appeared on Raw this week but didn’t wrestle. He didn’t have a match on SmackDown either and it’s also being reported that he wasn’t backstage for the tapings.
So how did this injury happen? According to F4WOnline.com Alberto Del Rio suffered the injury after taking a vertical suplex from Brock Lesnar during the Royal Rumble match. WWE officials should have a better idea in regards to his in ring status next week as Alberto is set to be reevaluated at Raw on Monday from Birmingham, Alabama.
Del Rio is rumored to be facing Kalisto in a rematch for the United States Championship at Fastlane next month.
