Rey Mysterio parted ways with WWE not too long ago but now rumors are going around saying that Rey has been talking to WWE about a possible return. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that there have been talks between the two sides but that the talks have been casual and insignificant.
Mysterio has openly stated in interviews that he left the company on good terms and would be open to returning in the future. It’s been rumored that Rey would head to Lucha Underground but as of right now the company has yet to announce a second season.
