The wrestling world has been buzzing about this week’s episode of NXT as WWE stacked the show with big names such as CM Punk, John Cena, Cody Rhodes and Paige.
CM Punk challenged Grayson Waller for the NXT Championship, Paige challenged Kehlani Jordan for the NXT Women’s Championship, Cody Rhodes presented the Dusty Rhodes Cup to Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno, and John Cena confirmed Zilla Fatu for the John Cena Classic. While a number of big names appeared on TV another familiar face was also hanging out behind the scenes.
Fightful Select is reporting that Enzo Amore and Joe Alonzo of TNA Wrestling were both backstage at the WWE Performance Center on Wednesday night. The report also noted that Fightful spoke to AEW sources who noted that Enzo Amore had also tested the waters there.
It looks like Enzo Amore could be making his way back to WWE sooner than later as it was recently reported that the belief is he signed a new deal with the company, and he is expected to join the NXT brand. Enzo Amore has not appeared on WWE programming in years as he was released from the company back in January of 2018.
